We’ve had another good response to our call for nominations for our Carnforth Citizen of Merit Award. This week, we’ve had 11 new nominations!
Again the nominees come from a range of different ages and backgrounds but they have all displayed a willingness to do their best to help others in our community. We thank you all! Our town is once again showing, not only, its resilience and strength of character but its fantastic community spirit.
If you know anyone who you think deserves our Carnforth Citizen of Merit Award, you can nominate individuals by emailing citizenaward@carnforthtowncouncil.org giving a few brief details including the name of the nominee, the reasons for the nomination (what the individual has been doing during the pandemic) and your name. Alternatively email the Town Clerk, Bob Bailey at clerk@carnforthtowncouncil.org
This week the nominations are: Tracey Cook – Booths; Gay and Andy Tonks, Suzi Snowdon and Martyn Askew – Salvation Army Food Bank hub; Bob Bailey – Carnforth Town Council; Sarah Roskell – Sweet Wheels; Andrew Bowden and Gillian Rigg – Volunteers; Maria Branson – Crochet artist; Gail Brown – Alexandra Park
