We are asking local businesses, groups and residents to comment on draft documents as part of the journey towards taking control of our town and its future through our Carnforth Neighbourhood Plan.
We are holding a ‘drop-in’ event on 30th September from 2pm to 4pm and 5pm to 7pm at Carnforth Civic Hall, North Road. This will mark the start of a four-week consultation on our revised Carnforth’s Vision and Objectives and the supporting Carnforth Baseline Assessment
Hard copies of these are also available to read at Carnforth Library and Carnforth Town Council offices. These will be a really important part of the Carnforth Neighbourhood Plan – a legal document that will set out a blueprint for the town until 2031, alongside the Lancaster District Local Plan.
There will be further consultation early in the new year before the final draft of the plan is put to a formal referendum in the summer of 2020.
Please help up to shape the future of our town by attending one of the drop-in sessions or sending your comments to: Bob Bailey, Town Clerk by email to: clerk@carnforthtowncouncil.org Alternatively, call into the office to discuss.
