The condolences of our local community go out to the Royal Family following the sad passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
We pay tribute to her selfless service to the United Kingdom and Commonwealth throughout her life.
Carnforth Town Council has designated the War Memorial Gardens as the area where floral tributes to Her Majesty may be laid in her honour and memory. Ideally flowers should be unwrapped. These will be removed and taken to compost on the day after the state funeral.
Condolence books will be made available and a further announcment will be made later today on where these are to be located.
