His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh 1921 – 2021

It is with the deepest sadness and respect that Carnforth Town Council is paying tribute to His Royal Highness Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh.

The Town Mayor, Kath Bromilow has paid tribute to His Royal Highness following the announcement of his death by Buckingham Palace.”Everyone at Carnforth Town Council offers condolences to Her Majesty The Queen & the Royal Family.

His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, served our country with dedication and dignity for more than 60 years. The Duke of Edinburgh was deeply respected and will be sadly missed.”

There is now a period of mourning where people across the country can pay their respects to His Royal Highness. This will last until the day after the Royal funeral.During this time, all flags on public buildings will be flown at half-mast.
